TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Look for lane closures on the west side this week, as asphalt work is set to kick off on a portion of Grande Avenue Monday morning.

Lanes will close on Grande Avenue, between Speedway Boulevard and Congress Street from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, September 25. Tucson Department of Transportation crews will conduct stamped brick asphalt work during these hours.

In addition, Grande Avenue is set to close to all traffic between Saint Mary's Road and Congress Street from 6 p.m. on Monday, September 21 to 6 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22. Residential street access should be available for the duration of the closure.

This pavement work is part of Road Recovery, the $100 million, five year street bond program taking place all around Tucson. Road Recovery is funded by voter-approved bonds.

This schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions in Tucson.
