TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Search and rescue crews are looking for a woman in the Catalina Mountains.

The woman, who is in her 20s, called authorities and reported that she was lost, did not have any water, and that her cell phone battery was dying, according to Tom Peine of the Pima County Sheriff's Department.

She said she was on the Sutherland Trail, and had been hiking since noon.

Crews have been looking for her on Sutherland Trail and in the Romero Pools area since 6:30 p.m. They are continuing to search in the dark on rugged terrain using bright headlights and flashlights.

Some are coming up the back of Mt. Lemmon as well.

"Obviously the night brings its own challenges, not only trying to find somebody, but also danger to our rescue volunteers," said Brian Boll with the Search and Rescue Association. "Terrain...snakes and other animals that come out at night."

A helicopter has also been dispatched, but there is still no sign of the woman.
