DPS canine trooper helps make Marana drug bust

MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A canine trooper helped make a drug bust in Marana.
 
The Arizona Department of Public Safety canine helped sniff out vials of steroids and anesthetic drugs during a traffic stop near the Tangerine Road exit on I-10 on Wednesday.
 
The trooper noticed possible criminal activity and after a subsequent search, found the drugs in the driver's vehicle.
 
50 vials of Ketamine, six vials of anabolic steroids, a bottle of oral steroids and a small bag of cocaine were found in the car.

Ketamine, an anesthetic drug, is considered a dangerous drug under Arizona law and has a street value of about $5,000, according to a DPS news release.
 
46-year-old Ivan Garcia-Pena of Nogales was arrested on drug possession and sale of a dangerous drug charges, DPS officials said.
