PIMA COUNTY, AZ ( Tucson News Now) - Authorities are investigating an early-morning shootout west of Tucson.

Ryan Inglett, a spokesman for the Pima County Sheriff's Department, said it happened Thursday, Dec. 3 near Bopp and San Joaquin roads. The shootout involved at least three vehicles and weapons, authorities said.

Authorities said they found blood and weapons inside one of the abandoned vehicles.

"We've done a number of door to door knocks to make sure residents were safe in the immediate area and we've expanded it out even further to several miles now looking for any signs or any indications where these people might be," said Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
