Florence, AZ (Tucson News Now),  On November 30 a Pinal County Deputy near the area of Bella Vista Road and Hunt Highway observed a white Chevrolet sedan pass by, license plate matching that of a vehicle stolen earlier that day. The PCSO deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver sped at high speeds, than abandoned the sedan.

The suspect was then chased on foot for approximately 15 minutes and was captured with the assistance of PCSO Air Unit at Hunt Highway and Paso Fino Trail.

The suspect was identified as 18-year-old, Rojelio Armenta. The stolen car was found to contain a stolen wallet and credit cards.

The San Tan Valley man admitted to 25 car thefts, several burglaries, an armed robbery, endangerment, credit card fraud and felony flight law enforcement and has been arrested by Pinal County deputies. Upon his booking he was also found to be hiding 2.1 grams of heroin.

Armenta is being held in custody in the PCSO jail while detectives are working with neighboring jurisdictions to identify all of the crimes he is allegedly responsible for.
