Pima Co. Sheriff seeks identity of 'emergency exit' suspects

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help identifying two suspects in a grocery store robbery.

According to PCSD the crime occurred at 1 p.m. on Nov. 26, in the Albertsons at 5085 North La Canada Drive and involved at least two suspects.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid-20s, he was last seen wearing a red hat, black sweatshirt and red shorts; the second suspect is described as a Hispanic woman in her mid-20s, she was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and jeans.

A PCSD release stated the couple loaded a cart with liquor, laundry detergent and other items before they split up. The woman was seen pushing the cart through an emergency exit in the rear of the store, while the man left out the front doors.  An Albertsons' employee followed the woman out the back and saw the suspects loading the stolen items into a green, GMC Jimmy SUV. According to the employee when the suspects were confronted, the man reached for his waistband, implied he had a gun and allegedly asked the employee if it was worth it. 
 
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
