Deputies investigate break-ins, mail theft in Sierra Vista

COCHISE COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Cochise County Sheriff's Office is investigating after thieves broke into metal mailboxes to steal the mail inside. The report was made Saturday morning east of Sierra Vista, near Highway 90 and High Knoll Road.

According to a release, the mailbox "bank" had damage to the metal backing and mail had been removed. One resident, according to investigators, said their checks were stolen from the box.
