MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Marana police detectives are investigating a robbery at a convenience store on the northwest side.
A man entered the Circle K near West Orange Grove and North Thornydale roads around 7:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 21 according to Marana police Public Information Officer Sgt. Chris Warren.

The man brandished a weapon and demanded cash from the clerk, Warren said. The suspect was last seen running away from the store with an unknown amount of cash. He has not yet been located.

Police set up a lock-down perimeter near the area, but that perimeter has since been taken down.

During the search, police questioned a possible suspect who was later found to have an unrelated felony warrant and was arrested.

Police are working to get a better description of the robbery suspect.
