TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Pinal County Sheriff's Office needs help finding a missing 17-year-old.

Daylan Thornton's grandmother reported him missing after he didn't return home on Wednesday.

He is 5'7" and weighs 125 pounds, and has brown hair. He left for school driving a white 2000 Ford Ranger, with Arizona plate, BCD5925.

Thornton is a student at Marana High School, and told his grandmother he was going to go to Tucson after school to pick up a check from his work. He said he later planned to go to Phoenix to meet a friend.

Thornton never showed up at either location.

The sheriff's office said Thornton's grandmother is worried about his well-being.
