TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Oro Valley police are investigating if a man who they said stole a vehicle and tried to run from officers on Thursday, Feb. 11 is connected to a string of other crimes in the area.

Just before 8 p.m., an officer noticed a car heading north on Oracle Road with its headlights off.

When the officer tried to pull over the driver, he sped away. He crashed into another car and slammed into a light pole.

He then allegedly ran across the Wells Fargo parking lot near Oracle and Orange Grove Roads.

Officers caught up with the man and used a stun gun to take him down.

They said the man was driving a stolen black Honda.

They searched the vehicle and found several wigs inside.

Officers are now working to determine if the man is linked to other crimes in the area.
