Tucson News Now - All pets aged six months or older will be free at the Pima Animal Care Center through the end of the month, starting Friday, March 25.

The special offer comes in anticipation of puppy and kitten season, when the animal shelter will take in 60 pets per day or more, according to a news release from PACC.

While the special only applies to pets six months or older, people can still get half off puppies and kittens if they sport University of Arizona gear.

The normal adoption fee is $50 without the discount.

The free adoptions will be honored at PACC's shelter, located at 4000 N. Silverbell Rd., as well as and its four off-site PetSmart adoption centers, where cats and kittens are available for adoption seven days a week.

All adopted pets will come spayed or neutered, with age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip and a free vet visit.

A standard $16 license fee applies to all adult dogs.
