TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tuition is rising for students at University of Arizona and the other two state universities.

Nothing will change for UA students who are on the guaranteed tuition program.

The 3.2 percent increase for new in-state undergraduate students will put Fall 2016 tuition at $11,769 a year.

New nonresident undergraduates will see a 7.2 percent increase. That will raise the Fall 2016 tuition rate to $34,967 a year.

The Arizona Board of Regents approved the increases Thursday, April 7, in Tucson.
