TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Authorities are on the roads Monday morning on the hunt for criminals, making sure the public is safe.
The Marana Police Department is conducting a sweep to search for people who have skipped out on their DUI, traffic or drug charge.
The $30,000 gr ant for the sweep was given to the police department by Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety.
For those who have a warrant, call (520) 382-2700 to schedule a court appearance to start the process of getting the warrant dismissed.
Marana Police Department officials consider today "very successful" with 12 arrests, totaling $20,715 in bonds.
Stats for 2015 fiscal year so far for the program: 65 arrests, with $78,000 in bonds.
