Ducey: Arizona voters approve Prop 123

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Prop 123, the controversial education funding plan, has passed according to Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey.
Ducey made the announcement on Twitter Thursday afternoon.
Arizona schools will receive $3.5 billion in funding over the next 10 years. Prop 123 also helps settle an inflation funding lawsuit. A portion of the money will be taken out of Arizona's land trust fund.
According to officials, the Tucson Unified School District would get an estimated $9.5 million per year, Sunnyside Unified School District would get $3.1 million per year and Marana Unified School District stands to gain about $2.1 million per year.
