MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Power has been restored to most homes following a power outage Saturday in Marana.  The area affected is near Silverbell and Wade.  According to Tucson Electric Power outage map, more than 100 customers were affected at one time.  The TEP outage shows crews have to repair or replace equipment.

This comes at a time Southern Arizona is dealing with extreme heat.

Temperatures climbed to 111° on June 4 at Tucson International Airport.  Although we didn't reach the record of 112° (1990), it was still the hottest day since it was 111° June 30, 2013.

More extreme heat is expected in the coming days, so stay hydrated and avoid being outside in the afternoons whenever possible.
