TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Eastbound I-10 was closed east of Tucson while officials worked to remove cattle after a cattle hauler crashed on Thursday morning, June 16.

One lane reopened at about noon. The highway was fully reopened by 1:20 p.m.

According to a tweet from Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Quentin Mehr, the accident happened at milepost 286.

The highway had to be closed so livestock officials could remove the cattle from the truck.

No further details were immediately available.
