COCHISE COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Cochise County Sheriff's Office says a power outage in Huachuca City and Whetstone will last through 6 a.m. Sunday.

Sulphur Springs Valley Electric is bringing a portable power station from Willcox to address the issue.

Until power is restored, deputies are advising people to make sure the elderly and ill are somewhere cool.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Office has set up a mobile command post at the Shell Gas Station, located off of Highway 90 and Highway 82. The power outage has knocked out the traffic lights at the intersection. Deputies are helping to direct traffic but are asking the public to use caution.

If you or your family need help during the outage you can call the Cochise County Sheriff's Office Dispatch at 520-432-9502.
