Hottest Day in 22 Years

It was the hottest day in 22 years in Tucson Sunday, and records were shattered across Arizona.

The thermometer at Tucson Int'l Airport hit 115° just before 3:30 p.m.; making it the third hottest day ever recorded for Tucson (since 1896).  The 115° temperature also broke the previous record of 112° (1989).

The last time it was 115° in Tucson was June 28, 1994.

Here are the top 3 hottest days recorded in Tucson:

1.) 117° June 26, 1990
2.) 116° June 29, 1994
3.) 115° June 19, 2016 (115° two other times June 25 & 28, 1994)
