World's most powerful rocket test-fired in Utah

PROMONTORY, UTAH (Tucson News Now) - The world's most powerful rocket test fired in Promontory, UT on Tuesday morning, June 28. Known as the Space Launch System, this rocket could be used to for a manned spacecraft to Mars.

According to NASA, just one engine on the SLS has the capacity to power "846,591 miles of residential street lights – a street long enough to go to the moon and back and circle the Earth 15 times."
