PIMA COUNTY, AZ ( Tucson News Now) - A powerful thunderstorm struck Tucson on Friday, July 1, bringing a record amount of rain and causing streets around the city to fill with water.
The National Weather Service issued and later extended a flash flood warning for Tucson and surrounding areas beginning in the morning, and the Brawley Wash on the west side was in danger of flooding.
