MARANA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - UPDATE: The suspect in the robbery was shot Thursday after a crime spree throughout the city. Read more HERE.

Marana police are investigating a bank robbery at the Bank of America on North Cortaro Road, just west of I-10, on Wednesday, July 27.

According to Sgt. Chris Warren with the Marana Police Department the suspect got away, and it is unclear if he left with cash or not. The call came in just after 4 p.m., and the suspect threatened he had a weapon. Police are not sure if it was implied or shown to bank employees.
