PIMA COUNTY, AZ ( Tucson News Now) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department has identified the man who was shot and killed Sunday night.

Deputies responded to a desert area near Valencia Road and Vahalla Road around 7 p.m., after two men drove to a nearby fire station and reported a shooting, according to a news release.

When deputies arrived on scene, they learned there had been a dispute between 26-year-old Jesus Baez-Lugo and the two men, which lead to the shooting.

Baez-Lugo was still alive, but injured.

Deputies rendered first aid until crews with the Drexel Heights Fire District arrived and took him to a hospital, where he later died.

The other two men are cooperating with detectives.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
