TUCSON, AZ - After holding onto the first place standing all season long, the Tucson Saguaros will host the opening game of the Pecos League Southern Division Championship series Thursday night at Kino Memorial Stadium.

The Saguaros (51-14) will take on the Roswell Invaders (44-23), its arch-nemesis who held the second place spot for much of the season and just recently defeated the Alpine Cowboys in the first round of playoffs.

Game 1 is on Thursday with Games 2 on Friday and if necessary Game 3 on Saturday night.

The Invaders are the defending champions and have won the title three times in the Pecos League's six years of existence.

The winner of this series will play the North Division champ, which could be either the Trinidad Triggers or the Garden City Wind, in the 2016 Pecos League Championship series. If the Tucson Saguaros advance to finals, they will host the first game of the championship series at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium Aug. 9.
