TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Tucson Fire Department is mourning the death of Capt. Martin Green. According to Capt. Barrett Baker, Green passed away Saturday after becoming ill.
Details on why and how Green got sick so quickly are not being released at this time, but he was described as a man in great shape.
Green had been with TFD for 26 years, and the agency took to its Facebook page Sunday to say he "truly made the world a better place." Green is survived by his wife and three children.
Plans for services are still being worked out at this time, but in the meantime, members of the community who wish to express condolences are encouraged to reach out through the Tucson Fire Department Facebook page.
