The Cochise County Sheriff's Office says a deputy was hurt Saturday while investigating attempted car theft.  The deputy responded to Highway 92 near Eads Construction in Bisbee after a man called saying two men approached him in camoflauge and tried to take his truck, according to the agency's Facebook page.

COCHISE COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The man then claimed the suspects gave up and then ran away eastbound. A deputy and K-9 were tracking the suspects when the deputy became entangled in some debris causing him to fall into a culvert.  The sheriff's office says he hurt his head and broke his arm.

The deputy was taken to the hospital for treatment. The suspects have not been located.  Anyone with information is asked the call the sheriff's office at (520) 432-9500.
