TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Crews with Saguaro National Park East will be out repairing damaged trails on Monday.
The Mica View Trail was made specifically for people in wheelchairs, scooters or walkers, but its smooth surface is now ruined.
Park officials believe someone ignored the signs to keep horses off of the trail and took their horse on it anyway.
The trail's hardened surface is now uneven, making it hard for people who need that smooth surface to ride on.
The park says more trails have been added recently for horseback riding, specifically to keep them off the one designed for wheelchairs.
The repairs to the Mica View Trail won't be cheap.
Park officials say it's going to cost about $3,500 to fix the trail.
Crews are expected to start their repair work around 8:30 a.m.
