Tucson police search for credit union robbery suspect

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tucson police are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in the Tuesday, Aug. 30 robbery at the SunWest Federal Credit Union at 7725 East Broadway.

According to TPD the suspect entered the credit union near closing time and presented a note to a teller demanding money.  He was given an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen heading westbound on foot from the credit union.

The suspect is described as a white man, early to mid 40s, 5'6" to 5'8", weighing 170 to 180 pounds with a close shaved and groomed beard.  Last seen wearing a black hat, white long sleeved shirt, dark metal frame aviator style sunglasses with a mirrored finish and blue jeans.

While no weapon was seen or implied during the incident, TPD is asking the public to not approach him, but call 911 immediately.  Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call 88-CRIME (520-882-7463), you can remain anonymous.
