Job fair aims to help convicted felons overcome roadblocks to employment

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A job fair aimed at helping people with prior convictions re-enter the workforce will be held Tuesday, Sept. 27, at the Tucson Convention Center.

The Second Chance job fair, which runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. is preceded by an ongoing workshop titled, "How to Work a Job Fair," which is held every half hour from noon to 2 p.m.

Prospective employees are encouraged to attend the workshop. Organizers say job fair priority will be given to workshop attendees.

Job candidates will have an opportunity to meet employers so should dress appropriately and bring copies of their resume.
