TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tucson police detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in a home invasion that occurred around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1.
According to TPD two armed men entered a home near 7th Street and Cherry Avenue and demanded money and property from the residents. During the incident Tucson police say one of the people was assaulted. The suspects left the area in an unknown direction and were not located.
Detectives with the TPD Home Invasion Unit continued their investigation and determined that one of the suspects, matching the description from the victims, entered a convenience store at North Mountain Avenue and East Ft. Lowell Road, shortly after the incident.
The first suspect, who is seen on the store's surveillance video, is described as a Hispanic man, 20 to 25 years old, 5'9" tall, weighing about 120 pounds. Last seen wearing a black baseball hat, bandana and dark clothes.
A second suspect, not seen on the store surveillance video, is described as a Hispanic man, 25 years old, 5'11" tall with a thin build, he was last seen wearing a Boston Red Sox hat and dark clothes. Both suspects may be connected to a blue or black Jeep Wrangler with a soft top and aftermarket rims.
