Authorities investigating diamond heist on Tucson's NW side

PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Authorities said they are looking for a man and woman in connection with a diamond heist at a store on Tucson's northwest side.

The Pima County Sheriff's Department said a man broke into Trinity Diamonds and Fine Jewelry, 6070 N. Oracle Road, early in the morning on Saturday, Oct. 8.

The PCSD said the man was wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white shoes.

He used a rock to break the front door, cracked a safe and stole multiple items before leaving the scene in a red Dodge Durango. The total loss in damages and merchandise is over $11,000, according to the PCSD.

Authorities are looking for a man and woman who were seen in the store Friday afternoon.

The first person of interest has been described as Hispanic male, 5-foot-9 to 6-foot, 250 pounds with dark hair. The other person of interest has been described as Hispanic female, 5-2 to 5-5, 180-200 pounds with dark hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
