Tucson News Now reached out to Napier on Tuesday night to find out why he decided to run.

"So many of them reached out to me, in fact there were a whole line of them, they escorted me into this event tonight," Napier said. "Which just warms my heart. A lot of this, I'm doing for them. My son is a Tucson police officer, so I have a special affection for young police officers. I was one along time ago. So I have an affection for these people and they really are needing leadership."

Napier said Tuesday he is already reaching out to other agencies.

Nanos refused to comment.

All results are unofficial until verified by the Arizona Secretary of State Office.
