TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Pima County Sheriff's Department is reporting that the body found in Green Valley is that of William Kenneth Darrow, who was reported missing by his mother on Thursday, Dec. 1.

Darrow's body was discovered by a jogger who called PCSD, according to a release.  Deputies with the Green Valley District responded to the call at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 5.

Homicide detectives arrived at the scene near North Abrego Drive and East El Valle and took over the investigation.  According to the PCSD release, during the initial investigation deputies discovered that Darrow had been reported missing by his mother.  She had requested a welfare check on Friday, Nov. 25 after she had not heard from her son in two days.

Green Valley District deputies conducted the welfare check, but found no sign of Darrow at the home.  On Dec. 1, Darrow's mother still had not heard from him and requested PCSD list him as a missing person.

According to PCSD the investigation is ongoing, pending an autopsy.
