DOUGLAS, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A Border Patrol agent shot a suspect during an incident Friday night, authorities said.
According to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection news release, the shooting happened near Douglas around 8 p.m.
The agent was attempting to arrest two men when he was assaulted, the CBP said.
One of the suspects was shot in the leg and transported to a local hospital.
The agent was not injured and the FBI, CBP's Office of Professional Responsibility, the Cochise County Sheriff's Department are involved in the investigation.
