UPDATE: Woman found dead had gunshot trauma; police investigating

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Authorities are investigating a suspicious death on Tucson's south side.

According to Tucson police Sgt. Kim Bay, the victim is a woman who was found with "obvious signs of gunshot trauma."

The Tucson Police Department said she was found in a home in the 300 block of West Inez Drive, near South 12th Avenue and West Los Reales Road.

The death has not been ruled out as a homicide.

A man was in the home when police arrived. They believe he is the one who called 911.

No one has been arrested and police say the man is cooperating with the investigation.
