TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Need a rabies shot for your dog? This is the event for you.
The Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA), Constable Bennett Bernal, and Ward 3 Councilperson Karin Uhlich have teamed up to provide up to 150 dogs free rabies vaccinations.
The free clinic will be held at Jacobs Park at 3300 North Fairview Avenue, Tucson 85705, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 11.
According to a HSSA release, there will also be Distemper/Parvo vaccinations available for $12 and dog licensing for an additional fee. Dogs attending the clinic must be three months or older and on leashes or in pet-carriers to participate.
Those attending the event can expect to wait in line and should bring water for their dogs (this is a dog only event).
Due to this off-site clinic, according to the HSSA release, the regularly scheduled Saturday vaccination clinic at HSSA's Main Campus has been canceled. Normal vaccination hours will resume on March 15.
