TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Name your own adoption fee at PACC's 1st construction sale

Looking for your 'fur'ever friend?  Pima Animal Care Center has your chance beginning at noon Friday, March 24 and running through Friday, March 31 - adopters can name their own fees.

According to a recent PACC release, all pets - including dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens will be eligible for the 'name-your-own-adoption-fee.'  This is part of PACC's first Construction Sale event, to celebrate the progress that has been made on the new animal care building.

Crews are prepping the new area for the building's foundation, PACC expects it to be laid beginning next week.

"With summer coming early this year, so is the start of overcrowding at PACC. We want to celebrate the significant milestone met for our new shelter by clearing out our kennels and offering low-cost adoptions to loving homes," said Justin Gallick, PACC's director of community engagement, in the release.

The name your own fee applies to pets at not only the main shelter (4000 North Silverbell Road), but the five PetSmart stores that partner with PACC.  The sale does not apply to the $17 licensing fee for adult dogs.

Every adopted pet will be spayed/neutered, have up-to-date vaccinations, be microchipped, and will receive a free vet visit voucher before going home with their new family.
