TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Tucson Police Department is reporting that 17-year-old Anthony Garcia has been found safe.

According to a TPD release he contacted family members on Thursday, March 30 and asked for a ride home from the south side of Tucson.

Tucson police are extending their thanks to everyone who helped in the search for Anthony.

According to TPD spokesman Sgt. Pete Dugan, Garcia had left his home in the 2400 block of East 20th Street at 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, after having an argument with his mother. He was reported missing that night.

He contacted his family members on Tuesday, March 28, and advised he would not be home for another three days. According to information TPD received, the 17-year-old may have been with people who are involved in criminal activity and might have been in the area of East 36th Street and South Park Avenue.
