TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A man died in a crash that closed East Prince Road from North Campbell to North Martin avenues on Monday, Oct. 2, according to Sgt. Kim Bay, spokeswoman with the Tucson Police Department.
Police have not yet released the identity of the man who died.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to TPD. The driver was not injured and remained at the scene. Police say neither speed nor alcohol appear to be factors in this crash and no citations were issued.
Police say the driver was westbound on Prince when the minivan struck the pedestrian, who was not in a crosswalk as he crossed Prince.
The crash happened around 8:15 p.m.
