FBI identifies suspects arrested in October operation in Tucson, Phoenix
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Federal authorities have released the names of nine suspects arrested in a two-city operation in late October.
According to a news release from the FBI, The Violent Street Gang Task Force from the FBI's Phoenix Field Office executed search and arrest warrants in Tucson and Phoenix in connection with a federal indictment charging nine people.
Eight of the arrests happened on the morning of Oct. 25. A ninth suspect was already in custody on a separate charge.
The suspects are:
- Mohamed Farah, 29
- Daniel Gallegos, 54
- Mastour Mohamed, 43
- Kajon Cox, 38
- Valentino Majak, 31
- Howard Wong, 24
- Samer Hussein, 22
- Duraid Hussein, 24
- Quran Nunnally, 42
The suspects were charged with crimes ranging from possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin and/or cocaine to felon in possession of a firearm.
Another man, Perry Dean Martin, 58, who was in a residence where a search warrant was executed, was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Oklahoma.
During the operation, several federal vehicles were spotted at a home in the 2200 block of West Oregon Street.
According to the FBI, the task force is comprised of the FBI, Border Patrol, Arizona Department of Public Safety, Phoenix Police Department, Arizona Department of Corrections, and the Chandler Police Department.
