Former Tucson bookkeeper sentenced to prison

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A Tucson woman has been sentenced to three years in prison with seven years probation for embezzlement.

According to a news release from Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich, Pima County Superior Court Judge Janet Bostwick also ordered Mary McNabb to pay $227,749 in restitution.

McNabb was a bookkeeper for the Arizona Conference of Police and Sheriffs when Tucson police say she issued more than $195,000 in false payments to herself.

She pleaded guilty to one count of theft and one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices.
