Police identify motorcyclist who died in crash on Tucson's SW side

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Police have identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Saturday, Dec. 2.
According to a news release from the Tucson Police Department, 20-year-old Saxen Hurst was pronounced deceased at the scene after his motorcycle collided with a pickup near West Silverlake Road and South Cottonwood Lane at about 7 p.m.
Police say the truck was making a left turn from northbound Cottonwood Lane onto westbound Silverlake when Hurst's eastbound motorcycle struck the truck.
Hurst was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the pickup remained at the scene. Police did not detect any signs of impairment, and no citations were issued.
