UPDATE: Midtown intersection reopens after pedestrian hit by car in Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Sunday evening at the intersection of Speedway and Craycroft in Tucson, according to Tucson Police Department.

Sgt. Pete Dugan, spokesman for the department, said she was seriously hurt. First responders rushed her to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but her condition was later upgraded to non-life threatening at the hospital.

Westbound Speedway was closed from Craycroft to Woodland for several hours while officers investigated.

All lanes reopened around 6:20 p.m.
