Travel back to the days of Dillinger's capture in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Take a trip back in time with a simple trip to downtown Tucson during Dillinger Days.
The two-day event commemorates the 1934 Tucson capture of John Dillinger and his gang that garnered national attention.
Family-friendly Dillinger Days events are scheduled for Friday, Jan. 19, and Saturday, Jan. 20.
9 a.m. -- Arts and crafts vendors
10 a.m. -- Lecture "A Nine Ring Legal Circus" at Club Congress; DJ Carl Hanni spins prohibition era music at Maynards Beer Garden; Desert Melodies with Emcee Sheldon Petz at Hotel Congress Plaza.
11 a.m. -- Dillinger reenactment
11:45 a.m. -- Dillinger historic walking tour (sign-up at table in front of Maynards); Live entertainment at Maynards.
1:15 p.m. -- Dillinger reenactment
2 p.m. -- Dillinger historic walking tour (sign-up at table in front of Maynards); Live entertainment at Maynards.
2 p.m. -- Prison Band at Maynards
3:30 p.m. -- Dillinger reenactment
4:15 p.m. -- Lecture "The 1930s -- Tucson's Last Quiet Decade" at Club Congress; Carl Hanni at Maynards.
5 p.m. -- Joe Novelli and Gabe Sullivan on the Tap Room patio
6 p.m. -- Retro Game Show
