UPDATE: Power restored, intersections reopened on Tucson's west side
TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - More than 2,600 Tucson Electric Power customers have their power back on Saturday evening.
The majority of the customers had it returned before 5:00 p.m., with roughly 250 others seeing the restoration before 7:00 p.m.
TEP said a down power pole originally left 2665 customers without power in the area of Saint Mary's between Speedway and Congress.
The Tucson Police Department issued a traffic alert in the area saying that several intersections were closed due to the down power lines.
All of those intersections have since reopened.
