UPDATE: Search warrant reveals details about double homicide in Vail

PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A search warrant released Tuesday, Feb. 6, is shedding light on the deaths of a Vail woman and her daughter last week.

According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, Hernando Enriquez has been arrested in connection with the deaths of his wife Sandra Enriquez, 43, and daughter Isabelle Enriquez, 15.

The 44-year-old Hernando Enriquez is also facing an attempted murder charge for allegedly attacking his teenage son.

As of Tuesday, Hernando Enriquez was still in the hospital with serious injuries and has not had his initial court appearance. His son was also still in the hospital.

According to documents from the PCSD, which can be read HERE, the incident happened Friday, Feb. 2 at the family's home in the 400 block of North Tomasita Drive.

The son told investigators he received a call from his father asking him to come home early from school.

The teen said when he arrived home, his father met him outside and told him he needed help cleaning up after "playing some kind of game inside."

The son said when he walked inside, his father picked up a hammer, tire iron or jack stand and began beating him in the head.

The teen said his father said, "Just let me do what I need to do," and "I'm taking away your mom and sister and I need to finish this."

The boy said he fought back and the two ended up in the kitchen.

Hernando Enriquez then grabbed a knife and began stabbing his son, according to the search warrant.

The teen was able to escape and run to a home in the 3200 block of East Calle Agassiz, leading to a 911 call.

The PCSD said the teen told them what happened and that they would likely find his mother and sister inside the family's home.

Investigators said they forced their way into the home and found Sandra and Isabelle Enriquez dead in a bathtub.

Both bodies had stab wounds along with blunt force trauma wounds, according to the PCSD.

Hernando Enriquez was found injured in a wash near the home. Investigators said he was covered in blood and had a knife with him.

He repeatedly told deputies to "just go ahead and kill me," the PCSD said.

The teen told deputies his father had been under a doctor's care for depression and insomnia and had been taking prescription and over-the-counter medicines for both.

A spokesman for Raytheon confirmed on Wednesday, Feb. 7, that Enriquez was an employee of the company.
