MADERA CANYON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Forward progress has been stopped for the Box Canyon Fire, which is burning south of Tucson.

As of Tuesday, Feb. 13, the wildfire had burned 79 acres in the Santa Rita Mountains and was 80 percent contained.

Roads in the area were closed Monday, but were open again by 4 p.m.

According to the Green Valley Fire District, the fire is burning in low to moderate fuels, but there were high, gusty winds in the area.
