UPDATE: Police say Sierra Vista teen may have been playing Russian Roulette before fatal shot

SIERRA VISTA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A Sierra Vista juvenile is facing charges after a teen died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Sunday, Feb. 18, according to police.

Police say the incident happened in a parked vehicle in the Mountain View Apartment Complex on El Camino Real at about 4 p.m. The victim may have been playing Russian Roulette with a stolen firearm, according to police.

The 15-year-old victim was with two other juveniles, who have not been charged. A fourth juvenile, who was not at the scene, was charged with theft of a firearm and prohibited possession of a firearm.

The Sierra Vista Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and how the victim came into control of the gun.

Police are not releasing the name of the victim or others involved.
