TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Friday, March 2 was the start of the first round of the Cologuard Classic.
For next two days the champions tour players are playing for prize money and the Conquistadores helmet.
Speaking of money, a percentage of the ticket sales will go to local youth charities. Helping underprivileged kids get a chance to participate in sports.
Tournament organizers told Tucson News Now that the goal every year is to raise $1 million to help kids in the community.
The tournament is also getting some big dollars from the title sponsor Cologuard. Both groups believe they are good for each other. The agreement between Cologuard and the Tucson Conquistadores is for three years as of right now.
