TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Rockwell Collins has announced plans to close its facility on the east side of Tucson, eliminating more than 400 positions in southern Arizona.
In a statement issued Thursday, March 8 by Josh Baynes, Sr. Manager of Media Relations, the closure would go into effect in September.
FULL STATEMENT:
The manufacturing facility, located at 1851 South Pantano Road, produces Super First Class products available in first class suites of airplanes.
According to the company's website, Rockwell Collins is, "a leader in aviation and high-integrity solutions for commercial and military customers around the world."
The company produces flight deck avionics, cabin electronics, cabin interiors, information management systems, mission communications, and simulation and training, according to the website.
