Police arrest shooting suspect in Sierra Vista

PIMA COUNTY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Officers with Sierra Vista Police Department responded to a call about a shooting Friday afternoon in the 500 block of North Coronado Drive.
They found a man inside an apartment and provided care to him until he was rushed to the hospital, according to a release from SVPD.
The release stated the man had been shot but he was expected to survive.
Officers searched several nearby apartments and found a pistol believed to be connected to the shooting, according to the release.
It stated that they arrested Jason Gallegos, 33, several hours later in connection to the shooting. Officers arrested him for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault causing serious physical injury and disorderly conduct, according to the release.
